Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary

The Seabird Sanctuary is the largest non-profit wild bird hospital in the United States. It is staffed by experienced professionals assisted by over a hundred dedicated volunteers. Similar to a human hospital, it is equipped with emergency facilities, a surgical center, and indoor and outdoor rehabilitation areas.

Town Square Nature Park
Gulf Blvd. and 191st Street, Indian Shores FL

Town Square Nature Park was dedicated to Indian Shores in November 1999 and has two covered pavilions with benches and plenty of parking for a leisurely family visit. Be sure to walk on the 800 foot boardwalk tracks through mangrove in the beautiful Florida landscape until you reach the fishing pier.

The Pinellas Trail
Taylor Park, Largo - Seminole Park, Seminole

The 34 miles long Pinellas Trail connects Taylor Park in Largo to Seminole Park in Seminole. The trail offers residents and visitors a unique chance to enjoy the magnificent nature, unique to the area and full of exotic birds and tropical flowers. Enjoy deep glades of ancient live oaks trailing Spanish moss, quiet waterways and tidal streams with all the diversity of land and water birds.
Go on Pinellas trail on in-lines, on foot when walking or jogging or jump on your bicycle. Some 90.000 people use the trail every month.

Tiki Gardens – A Pinellas County Park
East side of Gulf Blvd. Abeam 196th Street, Indian Shores Florida

Tiki Gardens, formerly a tourist attraction, was purchased by Pinellas County and changed into a beach access parking lot. Over 200 parking spaces are available at the small fee of 50 cents an hour. Long term parking is available at a cheap rate.

Estelle Harper Park
19305 Gulf Blvd (Behind Town Hall), Indian Shores Florida

The Park is located next to the Intracoastal Waterway. Estelle Harper Park has a children’s playground and a tennis court (available free of charge on a first come first served basis). A covered pavilion is available to the public for family or business function. The pavilion has of a choice of two barbeques and a fully equipped kitchen and restrooms.

Mayor Bob McEwen Veterans Park
East end of 197th Street, Indian Shores Florida

Bob McEwen Veteran’s Park is named after a former Mayor and saluting our nation’s war veterans. The park sits on the Intracoastal Waterway and offers several picnic benches, barbeques and sometimes some excellent fishing.
